CGI Group, Inc. (NYSE:GIB)(TSX:GIB.A) a leading provider of information technology and business process services, announced they will be collaborating with Oracle to offer tax and revenue agencies the complementary capabilities of two built-for-government software products — CGI’s Computer Assisted Collection System for Government (CACS®-G), part of CGI’s Collections360™ suite of products, and Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management (ETPM).

With governments facing tight budget constraints, tax and revenue agencies are looking for solutions that increase revenue collections without raising taxes. CACS-G and Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management deliver a modern tax infrastructure that supports all facets of government tax administration on a modern, service oriented architecture (SOA), reducing total cost of ownership.

An important component of CGI’s Collections360 suite, CACS-G is the market leading collections case management system, and has been acknowledged by government clients to have increased their collections by over $1 billion over the last 12 years. Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management solution is designed to allow Government to efficiently and effectively administer taxes on behalf of its constituents. Working together, CACS-G and Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management can enable governments to better support its citizens, quickly add new services and deliver critical revenue in these challenging times. CGI has completed implementation of Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management for one customer and is currently implementing this solution for three additional customers.

“For over 30 years, CGI has provided best of breed solutions to federal, state, provincial and local tax and revenue agencies, allowing them to meet the complex and changing demands of citizens and policy makers,” commented Ted London, Vice-President of CGI’s Tax, Revenue and Collections Center of Excellence. “In working with Oracle, we are deepening our commitment to bring the best possible solutions in the marketplace to our clients.”

“Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management and CACS-G together represent a powerful solution to meet the needs of our government clients. Oracle provides a robust tax accounting and policy automation solution.
