Silicon Valley, CA – October 7, 2013 – Cloud Cruiser, the pioneer in cloud financial management, today announced that Microsoft is making Cloud Cruiser available with Windows Server 2012 R2 via Windows Azure Pack, delivering advanced financial management, chargeback, and cloud billing to enterprises and hosters utilizing cloud solutions based on Windows Azure.

Cloud Cruiser works directly from the Windows Azure portal so customers can seamlessly manage both the operational and financial aspects of their Windows Azure cloud from a single pane of glass. The product enables customers to answer questions about their cloud business, such as:

·       How can I automate my cloud billing or chargeback?

·       Is my cloud profitable?

·       Who are my top customers by revenue?

·       What is the forecasted demand for my services?

·       How can I use pricing as a strategic weapon?

“With Windows Azure Pack, enterprises and hosters gain the powerful capabilities of the Windows Azure public cloud in their datacenter or a hosted cloud,” states Ryan O’Hara, Director, Program Management, Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise Division. “Cloud Cruiser’s financial management solution gives customers insight into the transformative economics of Microsoft’s cloud technologies.  With Microsoft and Cloud Cruiser customers can make real-time strategic business decisions that can drive greater efficiency and profitability.”

“The inclusion of Cloud Cruiser with Windows Server is a clear signal from the largest software company in the world that financial management is integral to every cloud strategy,” states Nick van der Zweep, VP of Strategy for Cloud Cruiser. “This relationship helps ensure that businesses can deliver innovative, scalable, and profitable cloud services.”

Cloud Cruiser’s latest release includes a next generation user interface (UI) that transforms IT usage data into financial intelligence. The new capabilities further empower business decisions through dynamic customer analysis, demand forecasting, profit analysis, and more.  Additional capabilities include support for heterogeneous computing environments, such as industry-standard public and private cloud platforms, storage management, and applications.

Cloud Cruiser will be hosting a webinar to present a live demonstration of the financial management capabilities available with Windows Azure Pack on Wednesday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m. PST.  Register here.  For more information about the solution, visit Cloud Cruiser’s Microsoft Windows Azure page.
