SAN MATEO, Calif. — July 16, 2013 Composite Software announced today the company’s fourth annual Data Virtualization Day 2013 will be held October 9 in New York City.  Noel Yuhanna, principal analyst with Forrester Research, Inc., and Rick van der Lans, managing director and founder of R20/Consultancy, two of data virtualization’s leading analysts and thought leaders, will co-present “Data Virtualization: Where it is At, Where it is Going” to the world’s largest gathering of data virtualization professionals.  Attendees will also hear vision and strategy presentations from Composite executives, as well as multiple Composite Software data virtualization case studies from leading companies in financial services, telecommunications and more.

The theme of Data Virtualization Day 2013 is “Gain Big Advantage from Your Data: Drive Greater Business Impact via Data Virtualization.”  Composite Software Chairman and CEO Jim Green will kick off the day discussing “Advancing Data Virtualization to Drive Business Advantage.”  Attendees will also hear a technology update from Composite CTO David Besemer.   Green, Besemer and Cisco executives will also address the strategic impact of Cisco’s intent to acquire Composite.

Van der Lans is an independent analyst and internationally acclaimed lecturer specializing in data warehousing, business intelligence, and database technology.  Van der Lans is author of the book Data Virtualization for Business Intelligence Systems: Revolutionizing Data Integration for Data Warehouses.
