Facebook has come up with an end-run that circumvents Google’s attempt to blockade the social network from its users’ Gmail contacts. Before Google installed the barrier, Facebook users could opt to send their Gmail contacts’ info over to the social network. Now that ability is back, with the help of Facebook’s workaround. It’s a battle over user data and ads that will likely escalate in the future.
