Facebook Unveils Mobile Platform

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled a new mobile platform for the social networking site, designed to be compatible with the latest geenration of smartphones.

Some industry watchers thought the company might unveil its own phone, but it wasn’t to be. “There’s been this rumor that Facebook is going to build a phone. What a novel idea, but… no,” Zuckerberg said at a press event in Palo Alto, Calif.
