Healthagen® today announced that it has acquired AppointmentCity.com, a mobile and Web technology suite that streamlines the process of booking appointments for both consumers and healthcare providers such as hospitals, urgent cares, physicians, and dentists. Healthagen will integrate this functionality into its iTriage platform to enable appointment booking and management for its consumers and provider customers.

“Healthagen, with its Web and mobile platform, has proven itself to be a top-tier healthcare technology solutions provider with tens of thousands of provider clients, and well over one million users,” explained Sherwin Krug, founder and Chief Executive Officer of AppointmentCity.com. “The acquisition of AppointmentCity.com takes iTriage to the next step – allowing this network to interact by booking appointments directly from the phone or Web through the iTriage platform. AppointmentCity.com was developed to provide an enterprise solution for appointment setting and has booked many appointments over the past year with our thousands of providers. We are excited to see this grow further within the iTriage platform.”

Physician appointment setting is an emerging trend in the healthcare industry. Consumers want more convenient access to their doctors and prefer to book appointments online. iTriage is now further differentiated and leading this trend by offering convenient access through mobile devices, medical content and decision making to find the right kind of doctor or facility, the largest international database of healthcare providers, and now the ability to easily and instantly book appointments.

“With this acquisition of AppointmentCity.com, we will accelerate the growth of iTriage by integrating appointment setting within our solution. This extension will add tremendous value to consumers who use iTriage for all their medical information needs, as well as creating access to new patients and generating efficiencies for our existing customers. We anticipate quick adoption by physicians, urgent care centers, and other medical providers around the country,” said Peter Hudson, M.D., CEO of Healthagen.

This announcement comes at a time of phenomenal growth for Healthagen, which recently announced that its flagship product, iTriage, had surpassed the one million consumer milestone in early January.
