The growth of business data will make investing in analytics no longer a choice. With plenty of cost-effective and easy-to-use self-service analytics solutions emerging, access to business intelligence and analytics will no longer remain the privilege of the few. Since this technology will be used extensively, there will be a need to simplify it and guarantee opportunities for users at all levels.

Advanced and emerging analytics technologies will help enterprises transform themselves from being merely reactive to proactive organizations. Customer satisfaction has a direct bearing on any enterprise’s success. Frequent outages or lack of timely action often frustrates customers resulting in loss of revenue, credibility or both.

Analytical tools can assist enterprises to improve customer satisfaction by constantly analyzing key IT trends to provide actionable insights. By making use of advanced analytics, teams can accurately ascertain the impact of an impending IT issue on business and draw up contingency plans to prepare in advance. In the face of a problem, such solutions perform automated root-cause analysis statistics and also suggest the best ways to restore services within the shortest time possible.

I believe we will see these tools provide an advantage to companies that wield them and use them effectively. Self-service analytics will become increasingly popular as users want a solution that will reduce the time, dependency and eliminate any complexity involved in analyzing data. Owing to the fact that they deal with a variety of data types and formats, these tools will be increasingly helpful in unifying information from various data islands and unlocking hidden insights.

A rise in mobile BI will enable users to visually interact and analyze their business data from anywhere. This will allow businesses to become nimble and be responsive to customer needs with great agility.

Analytics solutions that can leverage emerging technologies, such as advanced machine learning and AI capabilities to analyze data across complex data systems for better decision-making, will find larger adoption. And the sooner they find it, the sooner users can use the technology to perform data mining and make accurate predictions.
