Evolven Software Inc., the pioneer of Granular Configuration Automation solutions, today announced a formal partnership with JBoss, by Red Hat, the leader in enterprise-class open source middleware. Evolven will join JBoss’s ISV Partner Program and create joint solutions aimed at offering greater visibility into granular configuration information that can affect the availability and performance of applications running on the JBoss platform.

“As industry momentum shifts towards proven and tested industry-leading open source platforms, Evolven is excited to be certified to support JBoss Enterprise Middleware,” said Sasha Gilenson, CEO of Evolven, “Knowing that our solutions are compatible with JBoss technology offers our customers peace of mind to maintain IT environment stability and performance throughout their application stack, minimizing the risk of downtime.”

The combination of Evolven with the JBoss platform is designed to reduce production outage risk, detecting unauthorized changes and revealing potential misconfigurations to prevent high impact environment incidents. This combination will increase visibility and control into configuration parameters and content of critical business systems and their underlying infrastructure during the deployment of new releases and patches, ongoing changes, and operation and maintenance of the systems. The certification of Evolven Comparison with JBoss middleware offers customers the ability to compare environments down to the granular level. Evolven Comparison’s unique Comparison Engine? includes a set of technologies that delivers clear, definitive analysis of configuration information for JBoss, highlighting potential environment issues and pointing to the root cause of critical environment incidents.

The JBoss ISV Program provides solutions that are complementary to JBoss technologies. The program offers a support and development relationship with JBoss for vendors that have certified and tuned their solutions to run on, embed, or interoperate with JBoss Enterprise Middleware.

Evolven Comparison is a Granular Configuration Automation solution that allows IT organizations to compare their complicated IT environments with a historical snapshot or golden baseline for analyzing changes and differences with a focus on criticality as well as impact. The comparison results are presented visually for fast and easy analysis, turning IT environment comparisons into actionable information that support decision making.
