Windows Phone 7.5, nicknamed “Mango,” became available Tuesday as an upgrade for certain WinPho handsets. The improvements included in the package bring WinPho more up to par with leaders of the smartphone race like Android and iOS. Even so, Microsoft’s smartphone platform has a long way to go before it will reach anything close to those rivals’ market dominance.
