Companies running master data management strategies should be looking to incorporate the information about customers from social media channels.

This is the advice of Gartner Research Director Jim Davies, who told Computer Weekly that the majority of organisations have a master data management plan in place, but improvements can often be made.

He said there are a number of different channels businesses should be thinking about when they aim to bring together information on consumers.
