Facebook has released a new native app for Android and iOS: Facebook Messenger. It’s a messaging app that draws in users’ Facebook and phone contacts, allowing them to send send mobile messages and conduct group chats. If the receiving end has the app, the message will be delivered through a push notification. If not, they’ll receive a traditional SMS message, a Facebook message or a Facebook chat.
