Microsoft Server 2008 Gets Virtualization Boost

Microsoft is updating the server version of its Windows operating system to give the OS more virtualization capabilities. The company has posted a release candidate, a post-beta-but-not-yet-production-ready version of Service Pack 1 for Windows Server 2008 R2. The service pack can also be applied to Windows 7 as well. This service pack is a compilation of previously released updates, as well as, in the case of Windows Server, a number of new features.
