IDC predicts the global market for analytics software will grow from $25.5 billion this year to $34 billion by the end of 2014.

The International Institute for Analytics recently released nine predictions for business analytics in 2011. They believe that analytics is the next competitive frontier, and believe 2011 will be a big year for the industry.
