Pervasive Software Joins Google Cloud Platform Partner Program

AUSTIN, Texas – July 24, 2012 – Pervasive Software® Inc. (NASDAQ: PVSW), a global leader in cloud-based and on-premises data innovation, today announced it has joined the Google Cloud Platform Partner Program as a Technology Partner. The company also announced the upcoming release of Pervasive RushAnalyzer™ for Google BigQuery. The combination of Pervasive RushAnalyzer with Google BigQuery’s fully managed analytics service in the cloud provides an end-to-end platform to gather disparate data, cleanse and enrich it, and query it in a flash. Users can rapidly and affordably prepare and query even multi-terabyte datasets to discover patterns and correlations that can transform their business.

Google’s Cloud Platform products enable customers to implement:
● Cloud app solutions, such as mobile apps, social apps, business process apps, and websites, using Google App Engine and Google Cloud SQL.
● Cloud storage solutions, such as high-end backup and recovery, active archiving, global file sharing/collaboration, and primary SAN/NAS, using Google Cloud Storage.
● Large-scale computing solutions, such as batch processing, data processing and high performance computing using Google Compute Engine.
● Big data solutions, such as interactive tools, trend detection and BI dashboards, using Google BigQuery and Google Prediction API.

A pilot test of Pervasive RushAnalyzer and Google BigQuery is underway at nonprofit organization Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX). MIX collects financial and social performance data from over 2,200 microfinance institutions in over 110 countries, all with different accounting standards, languages, and reporting formats. This critical data is processed and managed through several operational applications based on both structured and unstructured data stores (including MySQL, couchDB, and Salesforce.com). The potential benefits of leveraging the Pervasive and Google technologies include rapid mash-ups of multiple datasets and complex queries by analysts to identify trends in the sector – resulting in new insights and recommendations around financial inclusion for underserved populations.
