MCLEAN, Va. (September 25, 2012)Sage North America today announced the Sage Exchange secure, integrated Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS)-certified payments platform now connects to the iCT 220 point-of-sale (POS) terminal from Ingenico, the leading worldwide provider of payment devices and services. This connectivity allows small and midsized businesses (SMBs) using Sage Exchange and Ingenico iCT 220 terminals to securely process credit and debit card payments, as well as take advantage of new dynamic coupon and messaging features.

In a few steps, businesses can create and print promotional coupons on any customer receipt based on a merchant-created profile, plus create and send employee updates and reminders to each terminal display.

“The browser-based Ingenico terminals connected into Sage Exchange provide SMBs with advanced, real-time applications,” said Greg Hammermaster, president of Sage Payment Solutions, the payments division of Sage. “The new couponing and messaging features, our first value-added marketing capabilities for Sage Exchange, can help businesses increase their sales and build customer loyalty.”

Lightweight, stylish and self-contained, the Ingenico iCT220 terminal allows businesses to accept all types of electronic card payments, without requiring a cash register or POS system interface. The terminal is highly secure and can help merchants to be ready for new security standards (such as EMV) in the near future.

“The cloud-based Sage Exchange technology, coupled with our browser-enabled Telium iCT220 terminals, further help Sage ‘make business life easier’ for small and midsized businesses, helping those merchants benefit from the most current payments technology available today,” said Thierry Denis, president of Ingenico North America. “The joint, innovative POS solution allows businesses to securely accept all forms of payment, and also lets them display digital coupons and tickets – things shoppers are asking for.”

Sage Exchange facilitates the integration of web-based virtual terminals, physical POS terminals, e-commerce sites, and even mobile devices equipped with Sage Mobile Payments to help businesses expand their sales channels, get paid quickly, and eliminate the need to manually enter and reconcile payments in their accounting system. Accessible through the web and mobile devices, Sage Exchange enables SMBs to view, manage, and consolidate their payments environments and gives SMBs consolidated reporting access to their mobile, POS, e-commerce, and back-office merchant account(s) to help them streamline the back office.

The Ingenico iCT220 terminals for Sage Exchange will be available for shipment in early October 2012. For more information, call 800-652-2370.
