For data plan holdouts, Samsung will be offering a sleek alternative to the iPod touch with its Galaxy Player, reportedly set to make its debut at CES in Jan. The biggest differentiator between the two will likely be access to applications, but with the Galaxy Player’s access to the Android Market, the gap isn’t all that significant.
