Enterprises are planning for and implementing digital transformation policies with the aim of building agile businesses better able to exploit digital technology in all its forms. Those policies, however, are not without consequences, especially when it comes to additional burdens being placed on the supporting network infrastructure, burdens which are being met by diversifying into hybrid networks or software defined wide area networks (SD-WANs) where regular broadband services are used to top up more traditional leased lines and MPLS services. Security must be carefully considered.
