Dallas, TX – October 21, 2013 – Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia’s largest credit union, with assets exceeding $4 billion and more than 280,000 members, is using WhereScape’s integrated development environment and agile processes to quickly develop and deploy enterprise data warehouse capabilities on top of a Teradata appliance that has delivered timely business benefits to its stakeholders.  The announcement was made at Teradata PARTNERS, where WhereScape is demonstrating its Teradata-specific data warehouse modeling and development solutions in booth #208.

Using WhereScape RED, Delta Community Credit Union’s first project focused on membership analytics and was successfully deployed on a Teradata data warehouse in three months.  Projects specific to deposit portfolio performance and business lending were completed in the following six months.  Delta Community Credit Union’s Director of Business Intelligence Services, Su Rayburn, and Lead Strategy Analyst, Melissa Bowen, will detail their successes and best practices today at Teradata PARTNERS at 3p.m. when they co-present “How to Accelerate the Realized Value of Your Teradata Investment Now” with WhereScape VP and General Manager Mark Budzinski.

“WhereScape’s integration and Teradata best practices are empowering us to take on a large   implementation that will quickly deliver value to our stakeholders,” Rayburn said.  “WhereScape’s agile, iterative development approach is ideal for us as it helps us quickly adapt as our business needs dictate.”

Delta Community provides its members with an array of financial products including checking and savings accounts, credit card services, insurance, investment and financial programs.  To be even more responsive to the financial needs of its fast-growing membership, Delta Community is developing an enterprise data warehouse to consolidate and analyze its loan and member information.  The company selected Teradata for its data warehouse platform and is using WhereScape RED to rapidly create Teradata native objects, including tables, models, views and indexes, as well as set-based procedures to load the data warehouse.

“We continue to hear from customers like Delta Community about their successes with WhereScape RED.   WhereScape for Teradata is enabling us to help our customers deploy their data warehouses faster and easier, expediting the time to value on their investment, while at the same time adhering to Teradata best practices,” said Mark Sneed, vice president, Teradata Consulting.

“WhereScape’s automated data warehouse modeling and development solutions are helping Teradata customers build fully documented data warehouses quickly and efficiently,” said WhereScape Vice President and General Manager Mark Budzinski.  “Delta Community represents a great data warehouse success story that we look forward to sharing at Partners.”
