Three Top Strategies for a Winning Company Website

Whether you’re running an online-only business, or starting a new physical company in the form of a store, stall, center, salon or something else entirely, having an online presence has never been quite as important as it is today. Even if customers aren’t able to purchase goods or services from you online, you can be sure that the internet is probably going to be the first place where your prospective new clients are going to find you.

Without a website, it is going to be very difficult for your business to grow and gain more exposure to the people who you hope will make up your loyal customer base in the future. However, if you’re hoping for business success, putting together any old website simply won’t do. Here are some website strategies that cannot be ignored if you want your company’s online presence to stand out for all the right reasons.

Strategy #1. Be Mobile Friendly:

In an age where everybody has a smartphone or tablet, it cannot be stressed enough just how important it is for every website to be mobile-friendly. And, it’s not just customers that you’ll be losing if you make your visitors deal with a non-mobile site on their smartphone screen, since just a few years ago, Google also noticed the rise in demand for mobile friendly sites and has since begun to penalize sites that do not provide this to their users. This means that you’ll lose out on valuable SEO as well. Thankfully, putting together a mobile-friendly design has never been easier – see web site design Tampa for more information on getting started.

Strategy #2. Keep it Simple:

When you first design your business’ website, it can be all too easy to get carried away with adding as much as you can to the site. Bold colors, graphics, videos and more can all look great. However, if you have too much of these at the same time, this can quickly become an information overload for your visitors – not to mention that it could also slow down the loading time of the site, which in turn can annoy visitors and cause them to leave and try elsewhere. This will leave Google’s algorithms fairly unimpressed, too. So, keep it simple with a clean and minimal design that’s classy and easy on the eye.

Strategy #3. Link it Up:

Think about how you browse the web for businesses as a customer yourself – what do you prefer? Chances are that when it comes to searching for information, you don’t like to spend a lot of time searching around for a company’s social media profiles, contact information, location, and anything else that you want to find out. When designing your company website, it’s important to have a dedicated section simply for sharing this kind of information with your customers. Be sure to include things such as your address, contact number, email, opening hours, and links to all your social media profiles in one handy place.
