Google Chrome has got the same number of extensions as the add-ons of Firefox but many prefer using Chrome over Edge, Firefox or IE due to Google products like Gmail, Google Drive and Google Photos. There are innumerable extensions which can be installed for enhancing the convenience of Chrome that you can install to enhance Chrome in various ways. You can select extensions for developers, bloggers, music lovers, gamers and other categories. There are few extensions that are universal and helpful in mundane tasks.

LastPass- If you are not using any password manager, try LastPass. Password managers have become mandatory these days due to the threat of hacking. Both companies and individuals get hacked and the numbers are rising. LastPass helps you create unique and complex passwords that would be different for each site. Since memorizing all of them is impossible, you need to store them and LastPass is one that can be trusted. There has been one incident but there was no compromised passwords.

Speed Dial 2- The simple Speed Dial 2 allows you to access your favourite sites, quickly. It organizes all your apps and pages into relevant groups. Both the theme and the layout can be customized to make it all the more convenient for you. Once your account is created, you can sync everything with all your devices.

Disconnect- Disconnect is an amazing privacy tool that ensures that any website you visit is not tracking all your online activities. It blocks tracking thereby saving data and loading time.

HTTPS Everywhere- HTTPS Everywhere makes browsing secure by using HTTPS security on an insecure. It is from that protects digital world consumers. The only disadvantage is that this extension uses a bit more memory than other extensions.

Adblock Plus- This extension prevents malware infection from ads even if you are merely viewing them. The only problem with it is it won’t allow sites if you don’t white list them however safe and big the site might be.

Honey- This app is apt for online shoppers- it will search for available discount coupons and apply them while checking out. You would just need to use Honey and it will find all kinds of codes.

uBlock Origin- Hardware firewalls makes use of web blockers that prevent users from visiting malware and phishing sites. These simply blacklist domains and URLs. uBlock Origin also does the same but more efficiently and is more memory-saving. Once installed, it would allow you to select from different lists and is highly recommended.

Grammarly- Typing is one of the major activities that are done on a computer. Writing emails, messages, posts, articles, filling out forms etc. Mistakes are bound to occur and it is here that Grammarly comes to your rescue. Grammarly is an awesome extension that checks spellings and grammar and gives Microsoft Word-like suggestions for construction of sentences, word usage etc.

FireShot- At times, you need to take a screen shot and FireShot has proven to be a better tool in comparison to Windows Snipping tool. This app captures scrolling web pages in entirety and saves them in images or PDF format. All tabs can be captured in a single PDF file and uploaded to OneNote. These are editable and you can also annotate them.

Turn Off the Lights-Turn Off the Lights places a nice background and blackens everything out except the video. It is not a necessity as such but it is nice to have it if you are fond of videos.

These are the ten extensions that can be used daily with Chrome. Most extensions will keep on working silently in the background while you work!
