Microsoft’s Windows 8 will be less insistent about the frequent restarts users often have to deal with when receiving patches and updates. Presently, users sometimes complain about losing work because of an automatic system restart; with Windows 8, they’ll generally only need to restart once per month. The new system, however, could lead to new complications.
