CSC Receives XCelent Award for North American Insurance Distribution Management System

August 16, 2012 No Comments

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Aug. 14 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced it received the XCelent Service 2012 award from Celent, an industry research and consulting firm, for its PerformancePlus insurance software. PerformancePlus is a distribution and incentive compensation software offering that provides a single platform for rapidly introducing and managing complex compensation plans. The award is based on Celent’s assessment of CSC’s advanced software, as compared to other offerings profiled in a report titled, “North American Insurance Distribution Management Systems: Growth Through Superior Producer Service.”

The report uses Celent’s proprietary framework called the ABCD Vendor View to profile and benchmark 10 providers of life insurance distribution management solutions. Vendors with the highest score in each category are recognized as XCelent award winners. CSC’s PerformancePlus led the “Depth of Customer Service” category based on client feedback on implementation experience, size and experience of the professional support team and the quality of ongoing service.

“At Lincoln Financial Group, we strive to make it easier for our customers to do business with us by enhancing the service experience at every critical interaction, and CSC’s innovative technology provides the resources to achieve this goal,” said Laura Dambier, senior vice president, Lincoln Financial Group. “As our strategic compensation and hierarchy management platform, PerformancePlus allows Lincoln to introduce new products and compensation strategies faster, as well as provide services that are prompt, accurate, consistent and transparent. Our firm partners and producers are then able to focus on nurturing client relationships and meeting sales objectives.”

“This honor from Celent recognizes our commitment to offering next generation technology solutions and services that help insurers consistently advance operations and improve producer service,” said Michael W. Risley, president of CSC’s Life Insurance and Annuity Division. “The life and annuity companies that use CSC’s distribution systems — more than 30 of the top 100 — deliver world-class service to their distributors and up-to-the-minute information for plan, channel and producer management.”

PerformancePlus manages broker arrangements, agent sales channels and hierarchy complexities, as well as a full range of product offerings. Designed specifically for life insurance and annuity providers, the system accurately and efficiently calculates commissions, offers easy adjustment processing and provides full audit trails documenting all transactions. PerformancePlus users process life insurance commissions for more than 1.5 million U.S. distributors, agents and producers. For more information, visit
