HTC has announced eight devices that will be eligible for ICS upgrades, but that leaves owners of a whole lot of other models feeling left behind. There’s massive confusion among Android smartphone owners over the process of upgrading to new versions of the OS, but it appears they all want Ice Cream Sandwich — even though it’s not clear why. The tablet-friendly OS doesn’t offer any obvious new thrills for smartphone users.
