R&D, marketing, sales among key areas of business with new leaders

MCLEANSVILLE, N.C., July 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Litera® announced today that the company is expanding its executive leadership team, having appointed Sean Scott as chief information officer, Chuck Henrich as director of product management, Rich Powers as director of western region sales and reseller partner channel management, and Dan Dillon as director of marketing.

As CIO, Sean Scott oversees all research and development, and customer satisfaction operations. Scott was the CIO at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice for 12 years and a member of Litera’s advisory board since 2003, having provided technology and roadmap guidance to the company in that capacity. Also in 2003, Computerworld magazine named Scott as one of its 100 premier information technology leaders. He was the only CIO from an East Coast-based law firm to make the distinguished list that year.

Chuck Henrich joins Litera as director of product management. With 30 years of experience developing and supporting productivity enhancing software products and solutions, Henrich worked most recently at Matheson Ormsby Prentice, Ireland’s leading multinational law firm. At Litera, Henrich will work with R&D teams on product design and roadmap across Litera’s entire product suite. He will consult closely with customers, both pre- and post-sales, to assist them with product selection, customization, testing and deployment. Henrich’s role also involves building close working relationships with customers, serving as a user advocate to champion customers’ evolving technical and business needs.

Rich Powers serves as director of western region sales and reseller partner channel management, responsible for expanding Litera’s customer base in the western U.S. Powers brings a wealth of focused expertise to the company, having more than 20 years of experience at companies such as DocAuto, Perfect Access Speer & iEnvision.

As director of marketing, Dan Dillon is responsible for global marketing strategy and execution. Dillon has 10 years of marketing leadership experience at software and technology companies, having worked most recently at Perceptive Software, specializing in process and content management solutions.

“We are pleased to welcome these strong leaders to the Litera family,” said Deepak Massand, CEO of Litera. “They are uniquely qualified and share Litera’s passion for quality products, ground-breaking innovation and, most importantly, a focus on creating value and satisfaction for our clients. The strategies and initiatives that these team members are driving play a major role in the continued global growth of Litera.”
