Corsair Components, Inc. (Corsair), a designer and worldwide supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming industry, has upgraded to the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 to help streamline and improve global operations and support its plans for future growth.
With strong growth in its major markets, Corsair needed a modern, cost-effective, scalable and reliable global business platform that that would enable it to standardize operations and lower total cost of ownership.
By upgrading to the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1, Corsair has been able to take advantage of the powerful capabilities, flexibility and scalability of the ERP suite to significantly reduce month-end reporting and meet the increasing volume of customer orders.
New functionality within Oracle E-Business Suite Financials, including Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Payables and Oracle Receivables, has enabled Corsair to simplify the management of financial reporting and streamline regulatory compliance.
To eliminate its reliance on multiple reporting solutions and better manage documents, Corsair deployed Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher.In addition, Corsair has been able to simplify and efficiently automate fulfillment processes by leveraging the Oracle Order Management module within the latest version of the Oracle E-Business Suite.
Completed on time in approximately three and a half months and under budget, the Corsair IT team of three people managed the upgrade to the latest release of the Oracle E-Business Suite internally and leveraged Oracle Support to help mitigate risks.
Corsair’s original Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 implementation was completed in 2007 by DAZ Systems, Inc. using Oracle Business Accelerators. Oracle Business Accelerators are rapid implementation tools, templates and industry- and geography-specific leading practice process flows to help dramatically reduce implementation time, complexity, cost and risk.
In addition to Oracle Database 11g and Oracle User Productivity Kit, Corsair is using the following Oracle E-Business Suite modules: Oracle Financials, Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Accounts Payable, Oracle Accounts Receivable, Oracle Fixed Assets, Oracle Cash Management, Oracle Bills of Material, Oracle Work in Process, Oracle Procurement, Oracle Order Management, Oracle Warehouse Mobile Applications, Oracle Advanced Pricing, Oracle Manufacturing, Oracle Inventory, Oracle Engineering, and Oracle Approvals Management.
