Real-Time Performance Solution Lowers Costs, Ensures SLA and Other Compliance Standards

Nastel Technologies, a premier global provider of business transaction performance™ solutions for mission-critical applications spanning the distributed, mainframe and cloud tiers, today announced the availability of AutoPilot® M6 for Solace, an extension to its monitoring solution that provides real time, 360° Situational Awareness™ for Solace Systems’ middleware appliances, ensuring high performance, availability and business-normal operation across the application infrastructure.

AutoPilot® M6 for Solace plug-ins support all major Solace appliance messaging modes, leveraging its built-in Complex Event Processing (CEP) engine to enable users to identify and fix problems, even predict and prevent them, before they can comprise SLAs or other compliance standards. The solution, in real time, also captures, stores and reports on performance trends and statistics, and provides personalized business views and proactive alerts.

AutoPilot® M6 for Solace monitoring includes: the detailed performance of multiple Solace appliances, events generated by the appliances, the performances of VPNs and the performance of the Solace message cache.

“Managing global messaging networks like Solace’s requires real-time monitoring, alerting administrators on the situations that really matter,” said Albert Mavashev, CTO of Nastel. “Solace’s highly regarded messaging solutions, combined with the automated discovery, proactive analysis, alerting and resolution of AutoPilot, provides the best solution available to our joint customers needing to improve performance, lower costs and stay compliant.”

The Nastel solution enables users to monitor the performance of appliance and message statistics; appliance configuration information and network information; CPU memory utilization and temperatures; system events; and VPN and message cache performance.

“Messaging middleware is operationally inseparable from the applications, transactions and other middleware that comprise the end-to-end infrastructure, making it difficult to achieve a real-time understanding of the bigger picture or take action in concert with related components,” said Shawn McAllister, CTO of Solace Systems. “By integrating Solace’s operational data into Nastel’s business transaction management platform, customers achieve a 360 degree view of their entire business infrastructure and the ability to automate actions that improve system health, performance and availability.”
