PALO ALTO, Calif.July 31, 2012 Revolution Analytics, the leading commercial provider of software, services and support for the open source R project, today announced that several of its executives will lead presentations at the 2012 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) conference. The event will take place at the San Diego Convention Center from July 28 – August 2, 2012.

At the event, Vice President of Marketing and Community David Smith will participate in a panel discussion on big data and predictive analytics. Chief Scientist Lee Elefsen will deliver a presentation on how to effectively scale analytics systems from a single to multiple core approach to deal with exponential increases to the size of typical data sets. Additionally, Vice President of Product Development Sue Ranney will deliver a presentation on the increased incidence of multiple birth rates in the United States over the last 30 years, as reported by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, by applying multivariate analysis to individual-level data obtained from public-use data sets.
