In a reaffirmation of the importance of data visualization to C-suite decision makers, Tableau today announced that it has entered into a strategic relationship with Deloitte Consulting LLP in the United States, which it expects to extend to other Deloitte member firms around the globe. Tableau anticipates providing more than 10,000 licenses to Deloitte’s data analytics professionals, enabling them to analyze, distill and visualize insights from large, complex amounts of data for clients in key areas of decision-making and operations.

“With 3,000 Tableau licenses in place, member firms in our network continue to ramp up their analytics practices with visualization capabilities and embed them in everything we do,” said Tim Phillipps, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited Global Leader, Deloitte Analytics. “Tableau enables Deloitte professionals to provide clients with data driven pictures worth a thousand words in terms of insights into their businesses.”

Christian Chabot, Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Tableau Software, added, “To address the most complex business challenges, you must be able to see and understand what your data is telling you. We’re very excited about our growing relationship with Deloitte. Deloitte member firms will have opportunities to make strategic recommendations to their clients in new and enlightening ways.”

Deloitte Consulting selected Tableau after several pilots. “Every day, Deloitte member firm clients have more and more data coming at them faster than ever before from both structured and unstructured sources – and they’re wrestling with how to unlock the value of that data,” said Jerry O’Dwyer, DTTL Global Leader, Strategy & Operations Analytics. “Tableau helps Deloitte client service professionals analyze all types of data faster and more efficiently, including customer, finance, workforce, risk, supply chain and big data, which enables Deloitte clients make critical business decisions more effectively.”
