ORANGE, CT, March 13, 2012 — Tangoe, Inc. (NASDAQ: TNGO), a leading global provider of Communications Lifecycle Management (“CLM”) software and related services, today announced support for Apple’s iOS 5.1 mobile operating system and the new Apple iPad. Tangoe’s comprehensive CLM solutions, including Real-Time Expense Management (“rTEM”) and Mobile Device Management (“MDM”) will support the new iPad when it becomes available March 16, 2012.

“Today’s market demands a sophisticated level of communications management that addresses the numerous, unexpected and rapid changes that continue to reshape enterprise mobility. With each new device, service plan, and mobile application, organizations face new security issues, rising costs, and increased user demand,” said Julie Palen, Tangoe’s senior vice president of strategic business development. “With products, such as the new Apple iPad, being introduced to the market and quickly adopted by end users, Tangoe’s solutions enable mobility managers to adapt to the increased complexity and change created from the growing Bring Your Own Device (“BYOD”) trend.”

As the proliferation of mobile devices continues to complicate mobile cost containment efforts within the enterprise, IT departments are thinking beyond MDM to ensure optimal cost control across their mobile enterprise. Now more than ever, enterprises need to monitor data usage and mobility costs in real-time, in order to minimize mobile expenses for both the employee and/or the enterprise. Tangoe’s rTEM solution is designed to be a key component in the elimination of “bill shock” for individuals and enterprises of all sizes and it can be implemented across a wide variety of mobile computing devices, including the new iPad.

Another key component to supporting the new iPad within the enterprise is Tangoe MDM’s iOS 5.1 management and complete payload support for security configuration at deployment, including the Volume Purchase Program, iCloud Control, VPN and WiFi configurations, and other iOS security and usage compliance polices. Additional features of Tangoe’s MDM solution include the Enterprise App Portal for complete application lifecycle management, blocking access to e-mail for non-compliance, such as use of an identified Jailbroken device, and BYOD policy management. rTEM and MDM work in unison with Tangoe’s entire suite of solutions to complement Tangoe’s integrated approach to managing the full lifecycle of enterprise communications.
