The Five Latest Developments In Quickbooks Desktop Apps

October 4, 2019 No Comments

Quickbooks provides customers with a full-service program that allows them to do more than they ever could on their own. People who are managing businesses need all the tools that Quickbooks offers, and there are many new tools that will be exciting to a business owner. Use the tips below to employ these new desktop apps. Plus, you should consider which apps will make your business more efficient. You do not have time to do everything, and Quickbooks can take care of a few things for you.

1. Time Sheets

Quickbooks desktop apps allow you a number of options when managing your business. You have people on the clock every day who are paid by the hour. These people often do not have a way to get to the time clock when they are working on special projects.

Plus, you may have such a large facility that it takes your staff members several minutes to walk to the time clock. You can cut back on time clock issues by allowing your staff to clock in and out from their computer or mobile device. The employees sign in using their account information, and they clock in using Quickbooks. The program sends that information to your ledger, and paychecks can be generated using the exact dates and times your employees were at work.

Your employees can log in to check their hours, and they can see how many hours of overtime they have accrued. The time sheet allows you to review the sheets quickly, and you can even clock out people who might have forgotten to do so the night before.

2. Time Tracker

Time tracker software allows your contractors to log the number of hours it takes them to complete a project. You may be paying your contractors a salary, but you need to know how long each project will take. You can check on each project, determine how much you are spending per hour, and adjust your spending accordingly.

The time tracker can be activated on any machine, and you will see a breakdown of how many hours each project took to complete. You can adjust your expectations, or you may need to let your contractors know they should complete each task quicker. The time tracker gives you quite a lot of insight into how your employees get their work done. You can even use historical information to explain to new employees how long it should take to complete a task.

3. Dispatch

You can use the dispatch app to manage all the trucks or vehicles in your fleet. The dispatch app allows you to input how far the truck has gone, how much was spent on fuel, and how long each route takes to complete. You can easily fill out all the information that you need for your reports in realtime, and your drivers can use their mobile devices to enter their own information.

You can see how much customers spent at each stop, how long the appointments lasted, and when your drivers delivered a certain load.

4. Invoice Tracker

Invoice trackers allow you to see when the invoice was sent, when it was viewed, and when it was paid. The invoice tracker allows you to schedule when an invoice was sent, and you can resend your notification emails for the invoice any time you want. The app allows you to see the entire history of the invoice, and you can decide when you need to send the invoice to collections.

You might set up an alert that will let you know when the invoice is late, and you can send a final notification before you write off the account. You can shut off services for the customer when they have not paid, and you can even send a notification through the app to let the customer know that they no longer have service.

5. Intuit Data Backup

Intuit data backup is an app that will save all the information that is entered into the system. The data is stored in the cloud where you can access it at any time, and you can retrieve the data if it has been lost. You can buy a package that offers a larger amount of storage, and you can begin to save data for your company without buying your own server and managing it on your own.

Conclusion

There are a number of things that you can do to make Quickbooks more functional than ever. A company that is using the apps listed above can make more money, save money, and organize the workforce. You can get accurate time sheets from your staff members, and you cam measure how long it takes to complete a project. You might want to check the status of an invoice, or you can enter dispatch information from each vehicle in the fleet.
