BRANFORD, CT – October 11, 2011 – Westbrook Technologies, developer of Fortis™ and FortisBlue™ enterprise content management (ECM) software, today announced FortisBlue can be accessed securely via mobile devices including the iPad®, Android-based tablets, and BlackBerry® Playbook™.

This integration improves the user experience by providing access to documents and data from a mobile platform. With their FortisBlue credentials users can tap the power of FortisBlue from supported mobile devices. It’s efficient and accessible for those who travel to customer sites or work from home frequently. Mobile integration allows users to move conveniently from a desktop computer to a tablet.

Users can search their FortisBlue databases on-the-fly or use searches they have already created. Taking full advantage of tablet features for easy navigation, a user can swipe across the search results grid and through multi-page documents. Tap the results grid once to open a document and double tap or use the zoom button to focus in on one part of a document.

“Leveraging FortisBlue’s Service Oriented Architecture, we created an innovative cross-platform tablet application,” explained Jon Langdon, director of research and development for Westbrook Technologies. “Our customers count on FortisBlue for easy access to information that makes their organizations run smoothly.

“Tablet computers have become an indispensable and portable tool for an increasingly mobile workforce,” he continued. “We are pleased to provide our customers with another option for accessing FortisBlue content wherever and whenever they need it.”
