Global Business Intelligence (BI) software vendor, Yellowfin, will make its latest release, Yellowfin 5.1, available from Friday 3 December.

Yellowfin’s new release – Yellowfin 5.1: Visualize, Socialize & Decide – will include new collaborative components to improve organization knowledge-sharing capabilities, and facilitate faster, more accurate decision-making.

“Yellowfin 5.1 will harness the advantages of social media-style information sharing to further Yellowfin’s reputation as the most user-friendly and end-user centric BI tool on the market,” said Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie.

Rabie stated that achieving Return on Investment from a BI tool relies on the ability of users to take action from their data, reports and analysis, and that Yellowfin 5.1 supports this by providing users throughout an organization with a framework and medium to facilitate guided decisions, recorded outcomes and defined actions.

“Yellowfin 5.1 provides a crucial bridge between insight and action,” said Rabie.

“It assists all end-users, including the executive team, to make the best possible use of the information gleaned from data analysis by providing a platform to discuss potential actions to be taken in response to that data analysis. We’ll be publicly releasing the details of these new features after our official launch event on November 30.”

Yellowfin 5.1 will be launched on November 30 in an exclusive series of webinars and made available for general use from Friday 3 December.
