Cloud computing is now widely accepted as a good economical way to share configurable computing resources. 87% of companies that participated in a recent Computerworld study say they are turning to cloud initiatives to reduce capital spending. 84% of them look to the cloud to reduce operating expenses, while 89% say that “greater business agility” is the main benefit of the cloud. Over the next two years, 50% of companies plan to switch the main parts of their workloads development to a public cloud, in order to benefit from fast implementation options, high scalability, and a subscription pricing model.
