BP LOGIX PROCESS DIRECTOR CHOSEN BY SYNACOR TO AUTOMATE AND ACCELERATE NEW HIRE AND CHANGE CONTROL PROCESSES

San Diego, CA – May 14, 2012 – BP Logix, developer of BPM software that accelerates time-to-value, today announced that Synacor has selected its flagship product, Process Director, to streamline the company’s new hire and change control processes. As a result of a significant increase in revenue and staff, Synacor identified the need to address many key, time-critical processes, transitioning from manual processes to automated, electronic processes. Compliance and the company’s software development lifecycle process will be addressed as part of Phase II.

Synacor, Inc. (Nasdaq:SYNC) provides the leading customer-branded technology platform that enables cable, satellite, telecom and consumer electronics companies to deliver TV Everywhere, digital entertainment, services and apps to their end-consumers, strengthening those relationships while monetizing the engagement. Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, Synacor has completed back-to-back record quarters.

As a previous customer of BP Logix, Ralph Wasner, VP of Technical Operations and Information Technology at Synacor, appreciated being able to again deploy a solution that managed his business processes, provided both workflow and electronic forms capability and delivered an audit trail that improved visibility into the company’s processes. Recognizing the need for a more holistic approval process flow, Wasner acquired Process Director to address needs in both IT and across the company. “One of the things that is important in automating our processes is  understanding that, when we hit a milestone prior to going live, the conditions and dependencies in related activities have been addressed. An automated process entrains the behavior we want and removes deniability from the system. As a former BP Logix customer I also know that I can count on the company for exemplary customer support, should we need it.”

Process Director enables users to review historical and current data related to business processes, understand the implication of activities in running processes and to instantly implement corrective action to overcome a pending problem, if one is present. Process Director fuses traditional workflow automation with the BP Logix Process Timeline™. As a result, it enables process builders to specify dependencies and conditions, determine the planned duration of a process, and define the order for all activities within the process.

“Cross-departmental process improvement is one of the benefits that BPM brings to an organization. With the growth that Synacor is experiencing, having processes in place that improve results, give greater visibility into internal systems and contribute to the bottom-line makes the decision to automate an easier decision,” concluded Jay O’Brien, CEO of BP Logix.
